Two important occasions happened on September 15, 2026. EU Parliament sought more rigorous and critical approach to the Serbia after Mladić’s state funeral had been organized in Belgarde. On the other side, the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Europe of the US deliberated on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and challenged US administration policy in BiH.
Prof. Dr. Admir Mulaosmanović, CEO of Aurora Foundation, was hosted on TV Sarajevo (TV SA) and analyzed US and EU policy towards BiH.

– It is hard to say that EU will suspend Serbia’s path to the EU particularly after Marta Kos, the Commissioner for Enlargement, said that Serbia is important for stability of Western Balkan and the EU. She also added some citizens sent her messages that they disagreed to what happened about Mladić’s funeral. Suspending relations with Serbia is impossible but they will try to balance with groups whose policies are different from Vučić’s stands. We cannot expect that EU will suspend relations with Serbia.
Representative Bill Keating of Massachusetts (US) authored report “Pay for Play in the Balkans,” laying out that removing sanctions on Milorad Dodik did not change his behavior adding that two Trump’s loyalists were awarded by contract amounted to $1 billion.

– Keating defined problem as it really is. Trump’s administration tries to make a deal which would be directly beneficial to him and his family. We have American players who came into the region and monetize Trump’s power. It is the case with Southern Interconnection project where deeply suspicious people are eager to manage the project of national interest of BiH. When Trump’s overwhelming power comes to an end, US approach will be redefined to BiH.
